In case of adverse weather conditions, the clinic will be closed where Typhoon 8 or above is hoisted or the Black rainstorm warning is hoisted before the opening hours. Patients booked in will be communicated with on the day as to appointment attendance. Cancellation fees will not apply to any appointments missed due to weather.
Informed Consent and Confidentiality
Booking an appointment at ALIGN for osteopathic treatment implies consent for osteopathic assessment and treatment. Do not book an appointment if you do not consent to osteopathic assessment or treatment. During the session additional verbal consent will be sought for manipulation techniques and the diagnosis and reasons for techniques explained.
Osteopathic treatment sessions are confidential. This means that your session will not be spoken about with anyone unless you give consent, for example in the situation I refer you to your GP for further tests or a physio for exercise prescription. I will ask your permission before sharing your case details with other practitioners. Additionally if multiple members of one family attend ALIGN for treatment - the details of the treatment and diagnosis remain confidential and won't be discussed with family unless requested by the patient. This applies from the age of 15 regardless of who is covering the cost of the appointment.
Responses to osteopathic treatment are variable and depend on multiple factors. These include baseline health of the individual, type of treatment given and underlying health conditions. Minor aches and pains are commonplace following treatment especially the day after and should be expected.
Charges and Cancellation policy
ALIGN reserves the right to change pricing from time to time to reflect the market and other factors. Notice of upcoming prices changes will be included in appointment reminders and as a notice on our on-line booking system for the month leading up to the price change.
Notice of at least the day before is requested for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of the appointment will be charged the full appointment fee. Thank you for understanding.
